Shawl: One-Shoulder Hip Knot, finished
  1. Lay the furoshiki inside up as a diamond, corner A pointing at you. Use 90 cm (nishi-haba) or larger.
  2. Fold corner C (far) down onto corner A (near) to make a triangle. You should now see a triangle with B and D at the ends of the long edge.
  3. Drape the triangle over one shoulder, long edge running across you to the opposite hip. B hangs at the front of the opposite hip; D goes down your back and round your side to the same hip.
  4. Tie B and D in a square knot at your hip. Tie once, then tie again crossing the other way. You should now see the furoshiki over one shoulder and a flat knot at the opposite hip.
