Terms of use
furoshiki.com is a free guide to wrapping, carrying and wearing a furoshiki. By using it you agree to these terms.
Using the guide
You are welcome to read, follow and practise everything here for your own use, and to print pages for yourself, a class or a workshop. Please link to the page rather than copying it.
Our drawings and words
The illustrations, step-by-step instructions, photographs and text on this site belong to Jimhoyd LLC. Don't republish them or sell them without written permission. The names of the wraps, knots, patterns and motifs are traditional and belong to everyone.
Name and logo
The furoshiki.com name and logo identify this site. Please don't use them in a way that suggests we made or endorse something we didn't.
Take care
Check every knot before you carry something heavy, fragile, hot or valuable, and never use a wrap to carry a child or a pet. Knots can slip, and a furoshiki can tear. You use the techniques at your own risk.
No guarantees
We work hard to keep the instructions accurate, but the site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Jimhoyd LLC is not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or its instructions.
Other sites
Some pages link to museums, books and other sources. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for them.
The law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, and any dispute goes to the courts in Harris County, Texas. If any part turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies. Last updated 20 October 2026. Questions go to support@furoshiki.com.
