Body Wrap: Two-Tone Crossover Top with Front Tie

巻きトップス(二色クロス・前結び) maki toppusu (nishoku kurosu, mae musubi)

Use a large or x-large furoshiki, at least 100 cm. Knot: Square knot.

Body Wrap: Two-Tone Crossover Top with Front Tie, finished
  1. Lay the furoshiki as a square, corner A at your near-left. Corners run clockwise: A near-left, B far-left, C far-right, D near-right. Use 100 cm (mi-haba) or larger.
  2. Tie the far corners B and C together in a square knot. Tie close to the tips so the knot stays small. You should now see a small knot with 2 long panels hanging from it.
  3. Put the knot at the back of your neck, both panels hanging down your front. Panel A hangs on one side and panel D on the other.
  4. Cross panel D, then panel A over it, diagonally to opposite sides of your waist. D goes first and A lies on top. Spread each panel wide as it crosses. You should now see the 2 panels crossed in an X, with the dark panel A on top.
  5. Take ends A and D around your waist and back to the front. Keep the band flat and snug around your waist.
  6. Tie A and D in a square knot at the front of your waist. Tie once, then tie again crossing the other way. You should now see a flat knot at the front of your waist with the ends pointing left and right.
  7. Check the front close up: the panels cross and A and D meet in a knot at the waist. You should now see the panels crossed in a V, and a flat knot at your waist with ends hanging down.
