Body Wrap: Crossover Halter Top

巻きトップス(ホルターネック・クロス) maki toppusu (horutā nekku, kurosu)

Use a medium, large or x-large furoshiki, at least 90 cm. Knot: Square knot.

Body Wrap: Crossover Halter Top, finished
  1. Lay the furoshiki inside up as a diamond, corner A pointing at you. Use a furoshiki of at least 90 cm (nishi-haba).
  2. Fold corner A (near) up onto corner C (far) to make a triangle. Line up the edges; the long folded edge now runs left to right near you. You should now see a triangle with A and C together at the point and B and D at the ends.
  3. Hold the triangle against your front, long edge at your waist, point up. Hold D in your left hand and B in your right hand at your hips.
  4. Separate A and C at the point and cross them over your chest to your neck. Take one layer up to each side of your neck, so they cross at the middle of the chest.
  5. Tie A and C in a square knot behind your neck. Tie once, then tie again crossing the other way; keep the knot snug but comfortable. You should now see a flat knot with the ends pointing left and right.
  6. Take B and D around your waist to the small of your back. Follow the arrows; keep the long edge flat across your stomach.
  7. Tie B and D in a square knot at the back of your waist. Pull the ends snug so the furoshiki lies flat against your back. You should now see a flat knot with the ends pointing left and right.
  8. Smooth the front so the 2 layers cross neatly in a V. You should now see a halter top with a V neckline and 2 knots at the back.
