Binding (split circles)

結合 ketsugō

Binding (split circles)

Discs split into two halves that are slightly offset, set in a grid with each disc turned a quarter from its neighbours; the halves pulling apart and holding together suggest joining or binding. Probably a modern design rather than a classical wagara.

No traditional source was found for a pattern called ketsugo. It appears on the owner's reference sheet and is probably a modern geometric design rather than a classical wagara. Its offset half-discs recall split-circle crest forms, but no historical link could be confirmed.
