Use a medium or large furoshiki, at least 68 cm.

1. Lay the furoshiki inside up as a square and place the two clasp bars across the middle, side by side. Corner A is near left, B far left, C far right and D near right. Each bar has a slot near each end.
2. Thread the left side of the furoshiki, between corners A and B, through the slots at the left ends of both bars. Gather the middle of the left edge and pull it in and through both left-hand slots.
3. Thread the right side, between corners C and D, through the slots at the right ends the same way; the outside now shows down both sides. You should now see the outside of the furoshiki down the left and right, gathered into the bar ends.
4. Tie the two near corners, A and D, in a square knot for the first handle, then turn the bag round and tie the two far corners, B and C, for the second handle. You should now see two knotted handles rising from the bar ends.
5. Press the two bars together to snap the mouth of the bag shut. You should now see a round bag with two knotted handles and the bars closed along the mouth.
