1. Lay the furoshiki inside up as a diamond and stand the bottle in the centre. Corner A points at you.
2. Lift the near-left edge (A to D) and far-right edge (B to C) up around the bottle. Hold both edges together above the bottle so the furoshiki forms a tube around it.
3. Twist all the furoshiki above the bottle top in one direction. Hold the bottle still with one hand and twist with the other. You should now see the furoshiki closed around the bottle like a tube, starting to twist above it.
4. Keep twisting until the furoshiki forms a firm rope above the neck. The rope should sit snug against the bottle top.
5. Tie the rope in a single knot right on top of the bottle. Push the knot down so it sits on the bottle top. You should now see a twisted rope ending in a knot on top of the bottle.
6. Pull the rope end so the knot sits tight on the bottle top. Close-up of the top: the rope makes one knot, and its tip points to one side. You should now see one firm knot resting on the bottle top.
