1. Lay the larger outer furoshiki flat, then the inner one on top as a diamond, and place the box in the centre. Both furoshiki inside up; the outer furoshiki one size larger (or the same size). Inner corners are A-D; outer corners are A2-D2 in the same positions.
2. Lift inner corners A (near) and C (far) together into 2 peaks above the box. Inner B and D fold in against the sides of the box. The outer furoshiki still lies flat, seen from corner A2: A2 nearest you, B2 right, D2 left, C2 behind the box. You should now see 2 dark peaks above the box.
3. Lift outer corners A2 and C2 up around the inner peaks.
4. Bring outer corners B2 and D2 round the sides of the box and tie them in a square knot around the base of the 4 raised ends. Pull tight so the knot holds A, C, A2 and C2 upright in a bunch. You should now see a small light knot at the base and 4 ends standing up.
5. Bend the 4 raised ends down and tuck their tips into the knot to make loops.
6. Fluff the dark and light loops apart into a full bow. You should now see a ruffled two-tone bow on top of the box.
