# Flat Object Wrap

平包み hira tsutsumi

Use a small or medium furoshiki, at least 45 cm.

1. Lay the furoshiki inside up as a diamond and place the flat box in the centre. Corner A points at you.
2. Fold corner C (far) over the box. Some guides fold near, left, right, then far instead; the finished parcel is the same.
3. Fold corner B (right) over the box, on top of C.
4. Fold corner D (left) over the box. You should now see the far and right parts of the box covered, with D and A still flat.
5. Fold corner A (near) up over the box and tuck its tip under the far edge. Or leave the tip lying flat on top if it is short.
6. Smooth the folds flat. The parcel is done. You should now see a flat parcel with no knot and no loose ends.
