# Apron

Use a medium, large or x-large furoshiki, at least 68 cm. Knot: [Bow](https://www.furoshiki.com/knots/knot-bow/).

1. Lay the furoshiki inside up as a square. Corner A is near-left, B far-left, C far-right, D near-right.
2. Fold the far edge (B to C) down onto the near edge (A to D). You now have a rectangle half as tall, about twice as wide as it is tall; the fold runs along the far side. You should now see a flat rectangle with the fold away from you.
3. Fold a second, narrow furoshiki or cord into a long band for the ties. Fold it over and over from one edge until it is about 5 cm wide.
4. Hold the rectangle against your front at the waist, fold at the top. The top edge sits at your waist and the cloth hangs down over your hips.
5. Lay the band across the front of the rectangle, just under the top edge, its ends hanging free at each side. Leave about 5 cm of the rectangle showing above the band.
6. Fold the top 5 cm of the rectangle down over the band. The band now runs inside the fold, like a drawstring in a casing.
7. Pull the band ends around your waist and tie a bow at the front. Tie once, then tie again with loops so it unties easily. You should now see the apron hanging from the folded top edge, with a bow at the centre front.
8. Check the bow close up: the band comes out from under the folded top edge. You should now see a flat strip along the top of the apron and the bow below its centre.
